Understand what empathetic design is. Find out how you can help refugees from Ukraine and see the best examples of such help.

In 2018, during Gdynia Design Days, the exhibition "Empathy, now!" Was presented, where you could see that design helps to better respond to the greatest challenges of today, such as migrations. Back then, no one suspected that less than four years later, as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the borders of Poland and neighboring countries would exceed 4 million refugees seeking refuge from the war. Therefore, as part of this year's edition of the festival, we decided to return to the topic of empathic design. At the lecture "Empathy with us", led by Michał Bachowski, we will see how the skills of designers help during the greatest refugee crisis in Europe since the end of World War II.

Economist and design manager. He started his professional career at the Institute of Industrial Design, consulting projects for companies such as Leroy Merlin, PROFIm and Zelmer.
