Explore alternative materials of the future. Learn how to incorporate biological processes into the production of useful items. The lecture will introduce the topic of bio-creativity and biodesign. Check how ecological design is made.
Using his own experience and studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, famous for its innovative material applications, Marek Głogowski developed his own biodesigning practice. He continues the activities initiated as part of his bachelor's degree, which he defended in May 2017 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The project develops a new method of producing utility objects where cultivating the object becomes a key part of the process. He explores the properties of the mycelium and the idea of bio-creativity. He creates his projects in cooperation with Dr. Marta Wrzosek from the Institute of Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution.
