Dr Tomasz Kijewski
Biologist, researcher and educator at the Laboratory of Research and Education on Climate and Oceans at the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IO PAN) in Sopot. A graduate of biology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, specializing in anthropology. He obtained his doctorate in the field of genetics at the University of Gdańsk. Currently, it carries out the educational mission of the Institute. His field of expertise is the biology and genetics of marine fauna, and on a daily basis he deals with an interdisciplinary approach to the marine environment, including ecology, taxonomy and biodiversity. He is involved in various educational activities, taking part or co-organizing numerous festivals and scientific picnics, as well as workshops and lectures for young people and adults.
