The exhibition as part of the Gdynia Design Days festival is the result of this year's competition, the slogan of which is "Design on the border of the past and present".

New technologies, modern solutions and materials often allow us to rediscover something that sprouted a seed, prototype or idea years ago. What fascinates, delights and delights in the design of the past of designers? Maybe it is the severity of the form, material, color, line arrangement, connection method or modularity? The task of the next edition of the competition "Młodzi na Start", organized by ELLE Decoration, an international magazine about interiors and design, is to show the relationship between the past, present and future through an original prototype or design of a functional form. 

At the exhibition, we can see the best works, including those awarded by the competition jury, which included: Małgorzata Szczepańska – curator and chairman, Maja Ganszyniec – designer, Magda Hubka – designer, Ewa Janczukowicz-Cichosz – member of the GDD program board, Krystian Kowalski – designer; Piotr Grzybowski – designer; Ewa Chudecka – manager of a PPNT Gdynia | Design Center and Gdynia Design Days festival.
